Liked: A good location in the centre of Amsterdam. The rooms are spacious and nice.
Did not like: You check in and get your keys at a nearby property, and the stairs are many and steep.

Good
Liked: Despite the warnings about a smell or loud music, I noticed none of that. A great location in the middle of the centre.
Did not like: The walls were paper thin. I could clearly hear my neighbour coughing and talking.

Good to know
We are a simple hostel in an old canal building. A few things are better to hear now than on arrival.
Age 18 to 40
Guests must be between 18 and 40. Younger or older guests may be refused, even with a booking.
No lift, steep stairs
The building has four floors, no lift and narrow, steep stairs. Think about your luggage, and about mobility if that matters to you.
Coffeeshop downstairs
The coffeeshop The Plug is downstairs. You may notice the smell or the music.
Noise can travel
Sound can carry between rooms and in from the street.
Deposits on arrival
EUR 100 damage deposit by credit card, refunded within 7 days after inspection, and EUR 10 in cash for the room key. Please bring cash.
Luggage after check-out
EUR 5 per bag, subject to space.
No smoking, no pets
No smoking in the rooms. Setting off a smoke detector can mean a EUR 250 fine, and breaking house rules can mean a EUR 250 fine and eviction. Pets are not allowed.
Groups and holidays
Groups pay in full at check-in. On public holidays, different conditions and surcharges may apply.
Booking direct: cancellation
- We do not charge in advance.
- Cancel by email at least 72 hours before arrival. A late cancellation or no-show means the first night is charged.
- We hold your room for 2 hours after your stated arrival time. After that, the first night may be charged and the booking cancelled. If you are running late, please contact us.
- Non-refundable rate: the full price is charged at booking, and a cancellation, change or no-show costs the full price. You can reschedule once, up to 7 days before check-in, for the same or a higher price and pay only the difference. Ask us by email.
